Leaders of Udi community in Enugu State have endorsed the Deputy Senate President and senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ike Ekweremmadu.

At a PDP campaign rally in Obinagu, last weekend, one of the leaders, Chief Ugo Agbala, said the people of Udi Local Government Area have resolved that Ekweremadu will return to the senate because of his competence.

Agbala said: “Senator Ekweremadu has represented us exceptionally well. It is for this reason that I, personally, continue to offer him my support. I wouldn’t have offered my support and the people of Udi would not have offered their support if it were otherwise.

“He deserves to continue representing us in the senate because, over the years, he has emerged as the conscience of the upper legislative chamber and even beyond, having served excellently well as the speaker of parliament of 15 West African states. Ekweremadu embodies the interest of the Igbo, most especially, in the quest for restructuring of the country.

Dennis Amadi, who represents Ezeagu/Udi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and is also the candidate of the PDP also supported the endorsement of Ekweremmadu.
