Strategic operations of the security services got a significant boost when Akwa State Governor Udom Emmanuel donated radio communication equipment needed by the Joint Security Task Force (JSTF) deployed to the state.

Pastor Bassey James, a communications consultant to the state, who represented Governor Udom Emmanuel, presented the consignment of communication equipment to the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Abubakar Said Mohammed Wase, at the command operational office of the JSTF located within the premises of the 2 Brigade Headquarters Command, Nigerian Army on Udo Udoma Avenue in Uyo, the state capital.

In his remarks at the presentation, Pastor James reiterated the commitment of Governor Udom towards ensuring the peace, safety and security of the citizenry. He expressed joy over the partnership between the state government and the Nigerian Army.

He said: “Governor Emmanuel is committed to the security and protection of lives and property. The governor’s industrialization and infrastructural development drive has attracted lots of visitors to the State.”

Receiving the radio communication equipment, Brig. General Wase thanked the governor for donating the gadgets to the Army, and pledged the resolve of the brigade command to assist the government in combating crime.

“I want to thank Akwa Ibom State government. This is a wonderful donation. It will help us a lot, and we will use them for the safety of Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.”
