The recent war of words between the immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and former president candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi has been described as very healthy for the growth of the oil-rich state.

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Hyacinth Enuha, who made this known, noted that the exchange between the two prominent sons of the state as regards the finances of Delta State was quite revealing to members of the public.

According to Enuha who made his opinion known through a statement by his Media Aide, Mr. Nnamdi Ofonye, the verbal exchange has helped to reveal so many hidden facts that are very beneficial to the present government and the people of the state.

Enuha however cautioned that while the exchange of claims or otherwise continues, it must be issue based and must not be allowed to degenerate into personal attacks.

He noted that such conversation is one that should be given serious attention to based on the fact that Prof. Utomi, a world acclaimed economist and expert seem to have facts and figures about the over 16 years administration of the state by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-led governors.

Enuha who is the chairman of the Delta APC Elders Forum maintained that if notable sons and daughters of the state would make it a responsibility to come out in the open to state the obvious as it concerns the running of the state by any administration, it will be a major step in helping the people know early when those in government begin to go astray in order to call them to order immediately.
