The Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Enugu State on Inter-party Affairs, Rt. Hon. Jonathan Chukwuma has dedicated an award of ‘outstanding personality of the year, 2021’, bestowed on him by a group of young political observers in Enugu State, popularly known as ‘Enugu Political Arena’ to the governor of the State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

The SPA was rewarded for his selfless service to humanity by the group which highlited his humanitarian efforts to include helping the needy at all times, grooming Enugu youths for future political representations, among others.

During the occasion which was held at Golf Estate in Enugu, the SPA had applauded the governor of the state for his massive developmental drive across the state, especially at the grassroot level; while stating that the governor remains the best thing that has ever happened to the state.

“If there is anyone who deserves this leadership honor you have accorded me today, it is my Governor.

“He is Mr. Infrastructure. Our rural areas will bear us testimonies of his ingenuity and selflessness. He is the best Governor we have ever produced in the state. So I dedicate this honor to him.

He further enumerated several positions allotted to youths across the state, in recognition of their relevance in the polity to include Gale of appointments into TA, SA and SSA positions, while urging the youths to continue to support the governor at all times.

Earlier before the presentation, the group had described Barr Jonathan’s efforts in promoting good governance and governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s leadership principles in the state as second to none; while noting that the award was their own little way of saying ‘thank you’ to the Governor’s aide.

According to Comr. Chinedu Njoku who is award committee secretary of the association, he highlighted that the SPA who was spotted a few months ago, helping over 400 widows with both cash and over 400 hundred bags of rice, also recalled how the SPA spotted a physically challenged student of UNN and gave him cash compensation.

“Apart from his charitable heart which is common place, he gave Christmas gifts of both cash and bags of rice to over 400 widows on behalf of the Governor.

“The former deputy speaker a while ago, also, was spotted helping a physically challenged student during students cultural exhibition at UNN, Nsukka.

In his own remarks, the Director General of the group, Comr. Eze Benson who was former gubernatorial candidate of United Progressives Party (UPP), during 2015 election also commnded the Governor’s aide for his efforts in grooming youths across the state for Sterling leadership representation in the future.

“Your type is so rare in the current political dispensation in the nation. We took cognizance of how accessible you are; how sensitive and simple you are.

“And we are aware of your sensitivity to the plight of the suffering people. We are particularly concerned about your efforts in grooming youths for tomorrow. And that is why we are here to say ‘thank you;’ he concluded
