From Stanley Uzoaru, Owerri

Governor Hope Uzodimma has been rated above most of his predecessors in terms of developmental strides in Imo in just two years of his administration.

The State Commissioner for Special Duties, Okey Anukwuem, who disclosed this to newsmen at the weekend, described the projects executed as monumental.

According to him, one of such projects is the ongoing construction of 5-kilometre roads in each of the 27 local government areas of the State.

He said the state government had completed the construction of health centres in the 305 wards and equipped most of them with solar-generated power.

This is even as he cited the revived Ben Uwajumogu College of Education at Ihitte-Uboma as a major achievement in education.

He also commended him for returning peace to the state by tackling the insecurity challenges with synergy from security agencies.

“I can go on, but these are the silent ones people are not talking about. The construction of the Orlu/Owerri and Okigwe/Owerri road is almost completed, the Balloon technology and lots more,” Anukwuem said.
