In an effort to resolve the wrangling within the National Conscience Party (NCP) and get the party operate optimally, the party’s National Deputy Chairmen have tasked members of the party to respect the leadership of the party at all levels.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Comrade Lateef Adebola, Acting National General SecretaryPastor Peters Omoragbon, National Deputy Chairman (South-South); and Comrade Waheed Lawal, National Deputy Chairman (Southwest), after a virtual platform 10th Consultative meeting of the National Deputy Chairmen of the party held on Sunday, 29th of January.

The Deputy chairmen urged members to demonstrate organisational discipline, as well as stop all forms of hostilities, adding that all channels of dialogue should be explored to avoid hostilities.

 They appealed that name callings on social media platform should cease.

The release read “The NDCs hereby call on every member to demonstrate a sense of mutual respect to the Party Leadership at all levels. It does not demonstrate organizational discipline for members to resort to name callings on a social media platform. All hostilities should cease forthwith, while the channels of dialogue are pursued vigorously.”

They also called on members to respect the office of the National Deputy Chairmen at all times.

According to them, Office of the NDC is lower in rank or hierarchy to the office of the National Chairman and Articles 4.4.2 (b) (c) were very clear: “They shall, on behalf of the National Executive Committee, coordinate party activities in their respective Zones. In the absence of the National Chairperson one of them shall be designated by the National Executive Committee to act in his/her stead.”
