WAEC to release May/June 2020 WASSCE results tomorrow

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will today (Monday) release the results of May/June 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The school examination was taken by 1, 549, 563 million candidates in 19,129 school nationwide and in three countries.

WAEC Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu confirmed via a WhatsApp message on Sunday, that the Head of National Office, Mr. Patrick Areghan will announce release of results of May/June 2020 WASSCE on Monday.

Ojijeogu disclosed that the event will hold on Monday, November 2 at New Hall, WAEC National Office, Yaba, Lagos.

The May/June 2020 WASSCE results were to be released on Wednesday, October 28 but it was postponement due to the EndSARS protest that rocked the country and some WAEC facilities were affected.

Recalled that the management of WAEC in March 2020 put on hold the conduct of the May/June 2020 WASSCE due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The school examination was finally conducted from August 17 to September 12. The school exam was initially scheduled to start on April 6.

The release of the WASSCE results will brighten the chances of candidates who applied for admission in 2020/2021 academic session into institutions.
