Chairman/CEO of Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP), Mr. Wale Adenuga has been inducted into the Comedy Hall of Fame.

The induction took place at the 2nd edition of Humour Awards, which took place on January 15, 2023 at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Adenuga was honoured for his immense contributions to the growth of the comedy industry in Nigeria. Also honoured at the prestigious event were other notable personalities who have made their marks in Nigerian comedy. 

They included Nkem Owoh, Sunday Omobolanle (Aluwe), Ngozi Nwosu, Mr Macaroni, Hafiz Oyetoro (Saka), Chinedu Ikedieze, Nosa Rex (Baba Rex), and Real Warri Pikin.
Receiving the award on behalf of his dad, WAP’s Managing Director, Wale Adenuga Jnr. said: “We appreciate the organisers of this impressive event for acknowledging people, like our Chairman/CEO, who have contributed to the growth of Nigeria’s comedy industry.

He is equally the founder/chairman of PEFTI Film Institute, Lagos and Ibadan, which has trained several generations of Nigerians in the entertainment industry; and also chairman of wapTV – a family entertainment TV channel available on all major satellite TV platforms across Nigeria.
