Less than a month to the governorship election, Director- General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign organization, Chief Frank Erewele, has expressed the party’s readiness to overcome the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Godwin Obaseki .
The former lecturer at the University of Benin and Chairman Edo State Water Board told Daily Sun at his GRA office in Benin city that PDP was not scared of threat coming from the APC over plans to use all available machinery to ensure APC’s victory at the polls”.
He said that the PDP candidate is the man to beat in the election.
“As you can see, the PDP is fully ready to face the ruling APC party in this election. Nigerians have spoken so much about this election; to me, it is going to be the mother of all elections ever conducted in Edo State because of the party and the people that are involved in it. We are ready for APC in whatever way; PDP as you know have law abiding people, but I must tell you that if the APC wants peace, we shall give them peace, if they want otherwise, they will equally get it. “We are prepared for the election, look if you don’t know, the first eleven of political big wigs in this state are with Ize- Iyamu, and they determine what happens in Edo politics.
“We brought comrade Adams Oshiohole from Kaduna State to come and run for the election in 2007”
