For highlife music duo, Ebuka (Akunwafor Jnr.) and Obiligbo Ifeanyi (Okpuozor) aka Umu Obiligbo, their latest song, Anwuli is meant to appreciate God for keeping them alive through the year.

Speaking about the single, the brothers chorused: “Our new single, Anwuli is a song of appreciation to God on how he has been keeping us safe in all our endeavours and journey despite the situation of the world. It’s also a joyful and thanksgiving song to wrap up the year. It was produced by PC Lapez, and mixed and mastered by Jay Stunt.”

When asked if it was the right time to release such a song, Akunwafor said: “Of course, this is the right time to release this kind of song, to appreciate God for keeping us safe.”

Umu Obiligbo, who released two singles in 2022, hinted that their fans should expect a full body of work and visuals for the single soon. “In 2023, there will be an album. We are already working on it. Our fans should expect something and as for visuals, just stay tuned. There is something on the way. Also, we have a US tour next year and we’ll soon announce the dates.”
