From Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, Abuja

Ghanaian President, Akufo-Addo, confessed, yesterday,  that leaders within and outside the African continent were anxious over President Muhammadu Buhari’s wellbeing and prayed for his safe return to Nigeria, from London, where he went for  medical attention.

Buhari, yesterday,  held a closed-door meeting with Akufo-Addo, at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

The Ghanaian leader arrived the villa at about 3:11pm and was received by Buhari, in company with his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and other top government officials.

The two leaders went straight into the closed-door meeting after which only the Ghanaian leader spoke to State House Correspondents.

On their one hour interaction,Akufo-Addo, said he was in the country to felicitate with president Buhari on his return and also engaged him on other bilateral issues bothering on the relationship between the two countries.

“As Africans, I came to see for myself how he is doing. The president was vigorous and very engaging on our affairs. We reviewed issues of interest to both countries and those of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Our big brother in Nigeria is well,” Akufo-Addo  said.

Also speaking, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said the meeting of the two leaders will further cement bilateral relations between the two countries.
