He said some of the things he would forever be remembered for are the clearing of the traffic logjam in Lagos and the introduction of Keke-Marwa tricycle among others.

Speaking further, the GOC noted that in the light of current realities in the country, the relationship between the Division and NDLEA Lagos Command will be strengthen to improve the security of the nation. More so, it would be done as part of fulfillment of the Chief of Army Staff Vision which is to reposition the Nigerian Army to professionally defeat all adversaries in a joint environment. Speaking further, he said the success made recently in Edo state where NDLEA seizes cannabis worth N1.4 billion was through the support of the Military.

Gen Marwa said insurgents in the North East have been abusing drugs and have become ruthless. He said the usage was evident each that the insurgents are dislodged from their camps there are always left over drugs in the camps. Therefore, fighting drug successfully means supporting the military as without drugs the insurgents are nothing.
