Actress Seyi Edun is one of the rising stars in the movie industry. She’s the producer of movies like ‘Eja Nla’, ‘Game Master’ and ‘Dara’. Recently, she was rumoured to be dating actress Toyin Aimakhu’s estranged husband, Niyi Johnson. In this chat, Edun narrates her own side of the story.
Who is Seyi Edun?
Seyi Edun is an actress and producer with five movies to her credit. I also manage Shaiworld Entertainment.
How did you get into the movie industry?
I was enrolled under Wisdom Caucus in 2009 as an apprentice and I graduated in 2011 after which I faced my acting career fully.
What are your likes and dislikes?
Honestly, I hate side talks and I appreciate honesty.
Who are those you look up to in the movie industry?
I respect and admire actress Bimbo Oshin a lot.

What do you have to say about the rumour that you are dating Toyin Aimakhu’s ex, Adeniyi Johnson?
Niyi and I are not into any love affair as being speculated. He’s a good friend and a brother.
Which of your roles did you find most challenging?
I find all my roles challenging.
Is Seyi Edun ready for marriage pretty soon?
I’m engaged.
What is the craziest thing a male fan has done to you?
I have not experienced any for now.
Your latest movie, Dara, is good. What inspired the storyline?
Dara is a true-life story of a friend very close to me. She narrated her story and I was moved and decided to work around it.
What is your fashion regret?
I have no fashion regret. I wear what I feel comfortable with.
What is that thing you can’t be caught doing?
I can’t be caught acting nude.
What is the next movie to be expected from you?
I am dropping ‘Four Couples’ and ‘Case Closed’ as soon as we are done with them.
