The A-list guests at The Sun Awards ceremony came out stylish in different outfits. From their dresses, shoes, handbags and jewellery, class and charm radiated.
Two among the female awardees are known style icons in Nigeria and abroad for their outstanding dress sense. And they came to the event making fashion statement.
Mrs. Folorunso Alakija, who was a former President of Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN) and Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, a life Patron of FADAN came out with impeccable styles. Adorned in a baby pink all round – clothes to shoes and bag – Alakija showed her fashion signature. She entered the venue of the event with style, accompanied by entourage of her Rose of Sharon Foundation officials and beneficiaries, who were decked in red Ankara prints.
Senator Florence Ita-Giwa was trendy and looked chic in her immaculate red gown. Her dress adorned with embellished frontal gave her a glam effect for the evening. As she mounted the podium to receive her award, you noticed the winged designed dress flowing freely.
Lady Ada Chukwudozie, who represented her husband, Sir Daniel Chukwudozie, the boss of Dozzy Group Limited, rocked the award night in a black regal outfit. The ruffled top with crystal bling lifted the sparkling evening wear. Her hairstyle also was on point.
Stupendously stylish is the apt description for Empress Pat Baywood Ibe. Her dramatic floral dress with black lacey trimmings at the sleeves stood out. Her husband, Chris Baywood Ibe, appeared in stylish trousers and top.
Fidelity Bank Managing Director, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, showed finesse in his dressing as an accomplished banker, well fitted blue suit, with immaculate white shirt.
Also, Business Person of the Year, Chief (Dr.) Leemon Ikpea was dressed in well fitted black suit, with white shirt. His wife radiated in black evening gown.
Chief Olusegun Osoba had a snowy white traditional Yoruba outfit of ‘buba and sokoto’ and traditional bead. The Aremo looked suave on the podium as he dedicated his award to all practicing journalists.
Prof Ishaq Oloyede also came out stunning in his simple native attire. However, the state governors had different pattern of dressing. Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, appeared in black blazers, while Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson stepped out in resplendent South South traditional wear, with matching bowler hat and walking stick.
