At what point did you take to write books on marriage and what was the motivation?

I started writing as a young girl when I was in Primary Three, but none of those writings was ever published. My first work, Exploring Your Heritage in Zion, was published in 2007 and, since then, I have written several books on marriage. Altogether I have four different books on marriage: All You Need to Succeed in Marriage, Succeeding in Marriage After The Wedding, How to Attract The One You Want and Building a Marriage That Will Stand The Test of Time, which I co-authored with my husband.
So, since 2007, I have been writing consistently, and have written over 20 books. The motivation behind writing these books is that I believe God has immensely deposited so much treasure in me and the world needs to benefit from it, so my motivation is to contribute to my generation and the generation next through my experiences, encounters, knowledge, and the inspiration that God has endued me with. My motivation also is to make people better by reading these books, thereby getting more people informed and giving more people direction, helping them to avoid trial and error, not just in marriage but in life generally.

I would say it’s applicable, because most of my experiences have been embedded in my writings. Some of them are out of personal experiences, other are people’s experiences. Besides, accumulated knowledge form part of my inspiration. So, in my books, you find a mixture of all of that. My own experiences, other people’s experiences, stories I have heard, knowledge I have garnered and inspiration that comes from above. My books are a combination of these. So, if you read my books, you get a whole lot of my personal experience and my stories that one can relate with which are very applicable to life matters.

Tell us about your latest offering, Your book, How to Attract The One You Want…

The book was written in 2009, and I discovered that many young people want a particular kind of person, that is, a particular kind of man or woman; but many of them are not the one that person also wants to attract. I once   encountered a young lady who wrote down for me 14 things she wanted in a man to marry, and I discovered that she wanted a man who was orderly, a man who had the fear of God, who was calm, gentle, orderly, and articulate. So, I could say that this is an example of the environment influencing my writing.

Are your works for Christians or secular world to read?

My books are for everybody to read, whether Christian or non- Christian. It’s for the secular world to read and it’s for Christians to read, too. I write in a way and in a manner that appeals to every reader. If you read the book and imbibe the ideas embedded in that book, I am so sure that you will succeed, whether you are a Christian or a non-Christian. It’s a book for everyone to read.
