A governoship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chris Iyare, has advanced reasons why an ‘old folk’ will not succeed the state governor, Adams Oshiomhole.

He charged delegates to the APC primary not to make the mistake of electing leaders who will not deliver on their electoral promises ahead of the Governorship election.

Iyare, spoke on the sidelines of “know your aspirants” organized by an Edo State based private Television station, in Benin City, where he assured that the APC was committed to a free, fair and credible primary election in the state.

He explained that he was in the race to make a difference, unlike in the past when politicians make promises without fulfilling them.

“Never again should we make the mistake of electing leaders that cannot deliver on their mandate.
