Technology Distribution, Information and Communication firm (ICT) and Injoo Technology Nigeria Limited, mobile devices manufacturer, have given the rationale for introducing Leap, the slimmest power bank charging laptop.
According to them, incessant power outage gave rise to the innovation where laptop users can be on the go and recharge with power banks with over 10000mAH, (milliamp hour) which could fully charge it. Aside that the “Buy made in Nigeria” campaign also spurred the new product.
Managing Director, TD, Mrs. Chioma Chimere, said the partnership between TD and Innjoo began in 2013 and had moved from mobile phones to laptops.
She maintained that the comparative advantage of the new product revolves around style and market competitiveness.
On his part, Injoo’s country manager, Mr. Rakesh Rocque, said, the gadget, which comes in exotic colours including champagne gold and moonlight silver, could also be charged in the car and would last for 10 hours, when a user is working with it.
Explaining more during a media briefing to herald the latest device, Rocque said it is “equipped with a lightning-fast processor.”
“The InnJoo Leap is a fast, capable work tool effortlessly fitted to today’s dynamic and fast-paced business and lifestyle environment.
“The device is suited to the power requirements of tropical Africa with a 10,000 mAh battery, which delivers up to 10 hours’ battery life. Weighing 1.275kg and at just 18.2mm thin, the InnJoo Leap is  the world’s lightest and slimmest 14-inch notebook.
“It has specifications that are ultimately bound to appeal to a growing generation of tech-savvy Nigerians, who rely on their devices to meet a variety of business, work, lifestyle and leisure needs,” he said.
On  after-sales support advantage, he averred that, due to Innjoo’s affiliation with TD, customers would have the opportunity of enjoying quick repairs and resolution of issues on warranty and out-of-warranty products.
He further added  that Leap would be available in the market from March and sell for less than N100,000,  saying, “InnJoo Mobile has expanded its growing reach to Africa, where it has, within a short period of time, taken a huge market share in the mobile devices space.”
