The Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Soulmate Cosmetics Industries Limited, Nigeria, Ndukwe Osogho-Ajala, has advised Nigerian entrepreneurs to focus on getting effective solid structures and concepts in their bid to ensure superior service delivery.
Speaking at the 25th anniversary of the cosmetic firm held in Ikeja, Lagos, over the weekend, Osogho-Ajala, explained that the secret of his operation was due to its blueprint of a solid structure and effective concept, adding that focus and patience should come first before reaping the benefits of investment.
“Succeeding in business is about structures and concepts. We have a structure at Soulmate in the sense that every department does its job effectively as our core values in 25 years have been  team work, integrity, hard work, discipline, excellence and fear of God. We are proud to say that we have not deviated from these values since inception and this has assisted us tremendously in keeping a disciplined and highly focused workforce”
“Every young entrepreneur must realise that the ground has to be tilled before you plant, weed and wait for the harvest. Most times the harvest comes with nothing but the experience is enough to compensate you for low harvest and every experience adds to something that leads to growth and success. In physics, it is said that a light must converge and not diverge so an entrepreneur has to constantly maintain the focus on where he/she is going,” the entrepreneur said.
According to him, “We are known as a company of integrity and this has generated a lot of goodwill for us.  Cordial relationship with our industry partners has enabled us to stay afloat and despite the frequent changes in government policies and the harsh economic environment, we have been able to maintain a healthy and cordial relationship with government organisations.”
Osogho-Ajala stressed the need for entrepreneurs to successfully build an enterprise before establishing other branches, adding that to remain successful in a line of business, focus remains part of the tools needed to progress.
Soulmate CEO said the firm will continue to churn out new products for its consumers as well as taking the brand internationally so as to contribute substantially to the growth of the Nigerian economy.
