The North Central Zonal Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Zakari Abdullahi Idde has said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is not God to determine the fate of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election.
Hon. Idde, who was reacting weekend in Lafia to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s now controversial open letter to President Buhari over his re-election in 2019, said that only God, the electorate, and not Obasanjo, will determine the fate of President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019.
Speaking about the former president, Idde said: “He has all it takes and the experience to advise the president, which should not be misinterpreted in the manner the opposition have taken advantage of, as president Muhammadu Buhari remains unbeatable come 2019.”
He said under the seven years of Governor Al-Makura, Lafia, which in the past was more of a local government headquarters, was now wearing a new look that can match others developed states in Nigeria.
According to him: “We are in high spirits as the president will be visiting the state [on February 6]…
“I’m impressed with the efforts of the governor towards infrastructures as I boldly say he has not shamed President Buhari in any way, which I think with this achievement… is deserving of the President’s visit as we all expect for the commission.” he said.
