For popular blogger and social media influencer, Ipadeola Abiodun Oriyomi better known as Swag Omoluabi, a kind heart doesn’t need millions of naira to make impact in the lives of people.
In a recent interview, Swag Omoluabi expressed his positions on giving as a form of lifting the society out of abject poverty lingering.
He said: “Give no matter how small it is. You don’t have to have millions before you do that. You can help within your capacity. You’ve got to only cultivate the habit of giving out no matter how small. The streets are littered with people that need help. A glimpse of your areas will reveal the fact to you. Give, no matter how small it is. People will appreciate it. It’ll bring succor to their hearts. It will wade away their tears. It will put smiles back on their faces. It might be little to you but the receiver might cherish it more than you had expected. People need help. They want to be helped no matter how small.”
Known on his Instagram page as a cheerful giver, Swag Omoluabi maintained that giving is one of the things he doesn’t joke with because of his childhood background.
“Just like the Yoruba people will say, “Oke lowo afuni ngbe.” which translates that givers’ hands are always atop.
Giving out is one of the thing I don’t play with because I was born and raised in an environment where more than 40 people shared one restroom. Since then, I told myself that when I grow up, I am going to try my best to make people happy and help the country to solve hunger. Let’s show love and reach out to people, no matter how small, it’ll undoubtedly go a long way in bringing laughter to peoples’ faces.”
To Nigerian youths who are eager to a better future, Swag Omoluabi assured them that it is achievable. “If you are from a poor home, your determination should be twice as that of someone from a comfortable or rich home.”
