A Nigerian upcoming artiste, Ajani Babatunde, popularly known as Haaj Silver, has admonished student musicians to prioritise their education so as to make the best out of it.

Hence, he charged that before getting busy with other endeavours, youths should surmount any challenge competing with their academic excellence first.

Babatunde, an indigenous singer, and a graduate of Bowen University at Iwo in Osun State, is currently undergoing his one year National Youth (NYSC) in Lagos.

He said he plans to bring more Grammy Award to Nigeria with his kind of tune, style and vibes.”

As a student, Babatunde had a notable record of success, where he featured in songs made by Zinoleesky, who is one of the fastest rising star, a Rookey nominated artiste and 9ice, a Yoruba indigenous singer known for his style of music which is well celebrated in this contemporary time.

As a fulltime student who was also into music professionally, “I’m of the view that it was not easy for me combining music and education together, but now that I’m through with my education, I’m ready to give music his undivided and undiluted attention, coupled with writing and composing more songs, ” Haaj Silver said.

Babatunde, on how he was able to forge ahead unhindered, attributed his success to his parents, who he said have been his major source of influence, drive and support.

“Without mincing words, we all will agree that year 2020 was indeed a unique and peculiar year for us in the music industry, due to the Covid-19 pandemic in which many artistes, especially the upcoming ones still looking for more visibility were unable to go for shows because of the lockdown,” Babatunde noted, but instead of him relenting or being swayed, he said, he made the best use of the period where he composed more melodious songs being an ardent and dedicated lover of music.

“I’m resolute about success and I’m looking forward to home coming shows and abroad as well,” Haaj Silver said.

He spoke about himself: “Ajani Babatunde, a.k.aHaaj Silver, is an ambitious and passion-driven individual, who thrives in a good environment and a passionate lover of music, who plans to bring more Grammy Award to Nigeria with my kind of tune, style and vibes.”

“The best is yet to come for me and that the sky is just the starting point in the pursuit for his career, ” Babatunde said.”
