COACH Emmanuel Amuneke said he is not in a hurry to reveal the progress of his team Flying Eagles even as he tinkers the team into shape for next month’s Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi.
The World Cup winning coach sued for patience from Nigerians, insisting that there was no need for heavy scrutiny of the players assuring that the technical crew was focused on brining out the best in the national U-20 team .
“There is no need to hurry, rather let us remain focused on building and working on the team.At the appropriate time, everybody will know what the team looks like”.
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are the defending Champions of the U-20 African championship and are currently in camp in preparation for the 20th edition of the tournament to be hosted by Zambia in 2017.
The team which had been on a scoring spree, during the weekend, walloped Kano based Dabo Babes FC 5-0 , a week after they beat Sia-One Academy 4-0 in a friendly match at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.
Just last week, the Nigeria Football Federation technical committee showered encoumium on coach Amuneke for promoting most of the FIFA U-17 World Cup winning players to the Flying Eagles team.
