Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has sworn in 19 commissioners as newmembers of the state executive council.

He tasked the newly swore in cabinet members to give him regular advise which can improve governance.

He also asked the commissioners to hold regular meetings with stakeholders in their various ministries and forward resolutions and recommendations to him through the office of the secretary to the state government (SSG ).

He urged the cabinet members to take the lead in promoting punctuality at work and reminded them that office hours start from 8am and end by 4pm except on Fridays when work ends at noon.

The swearing was conducted by the Chief Judge of the state, Kashim Zanna, represented by Fadawu Umaru.

Three new appointees were among those sworn in while 16 former commissioners returned to the cabinet.

Zuwara Gambo, former commissioner for women affairs, has not been screened by the House of Assembly.
