Thousands of party faithful welcomed the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to Enugu State as he met South East stakeholders Tuesday morning.

The private jet conveying the former viice president touched down at about 11 am amid loud cheers from the crowd.

Atiku is in Enugu for a crucial meeting with South East leaders and stakeholders as part of consultation and sensitisation ahead of the commencement of campaign.

Atiku arrived alongside his running mate and governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, national chairman of the PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu; former Senate Presidents, Bukola Saraki and Anyim Pius Anyim, Chairman of PDP Presidential Council and Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal; Director General of Atiku campaign organisation and Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel and many others.
